In 2018, the new M-11 Highway will connect Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Importance of the M-11 Highway depends upon several factors. The Highway will become a relief road for the M-10 Rossiya Motorway, which has exhausted its capacity long ago. The M-11 will be integrated into the system of international transport corridors. Furthermore, each section of the new Highway will perform its local mission as well, making things smoother for regional residents and freight forwarders. 

Сonstruction of M-11 Highway meets the highest international standards. A unique focus of the Highway on environmental compatibility of the Project, safety, as well as driver’s convenience are beyond comparison for the road industry of Russia.

The Highway will run from the Moscow Ring Road through Moscow, Tver, Novgorod and Leningrad regions bypassing all the settlements to the Ring Road around Saint Petersburg. 

The new Moscow – St. Petersburg Highway will run mainly in parallel to the existing M-10 Motorway and intersect it at km 58, km 149, km 208, km 258, km 334, km 543 completed with multilevel traffic interchanges. This will make it possible to redirect traffic flows from M-10 Rossiya Motorway to the M-11 Highway and vice versa.

Speed, safety, control

Preliminary arrangement scheme of O&M Facilities along the M-11 Highway encompasses 13 multifunctional areas and 64 rest areas.

Multifunctional areas of road service will be equipped with separate parking zones, fueling station with different fuel types, including automatic gas refueling stations, toilets, rest areas, catering facilities, shops, tyre repairs, showers, laundries, medical care units, waste disposal containers, telephones.
